A SignTracker alternative for small sign shops

If you want a simple sign shop system but don't want to pay more as you add people, Grommetbook is a SignTracker alternative with one flat price: $49/month per shop, unlimited users. SignTracker was $65/month for 1–2 users, $129 for 3–5 and $189 for unlimited, as of November 2026. It depends on your shop. For a 1–2 person shop the saving is small. The real difference is that your own AI assistant sets up and changes the Price Book. If you don't want to use an AI assistant, or you want one-on-one onboarding, SignTracker is the better choice.

The gap grows when you add a third person, such as an installer or a part-time designer who needs to see jobs.
How setup is different
SignTracker lets you build quoting templates and upload pricing from a spreadsheet. It also offers one-on-one onboarding and weekly office hours. Template setup still takes time. In SignTracker's own case study (2025), an owner said: "I put my head down for about a month straight and started setting up many quote templates." A Signs101 member wrote in 2025 that they had SignTracker "for a minute" but never set aside training time, so they canceled.
In Grommetbook you hand your AI assistant your pricing spreadsheet. It runs import_price_book as a dry run, shows the Materials, Rates and Products it will create, and saves when you confirm. Later changes are one sentence: "add 3M IJ180 at $1.42/sq ft with 15% waste" or "Oracal raised 751 by 6%". Products reprice, and Quotes you already sent stay as they were.

- You are a 1–2 person shop and $16 a month is not a reason to change tools.
