Grommetbook imports your Materials, Rates and Products, shows a dry run with sample prices, then saves on your OK.
You: "Quote Joe's Pizza two 24×36 coroplast signs with grommets."
A priced Quote, every line explained: material with waste, print time, options, markup, minimum.
You: "Send it."
Your customer gets a link, approves online (name and time recorded) and the Job lands on your board.
You: "Oracal raised 751 by 6% — show me first, then do it."
Every Product that uses it is repriced; Quotes you already sent keep their price.

Who it is for

Independent sign shops with 1–10 people where the owner does the quoting, who already use ChatGPT or Claude, and who either quote from a spreadsheet or are tired of paying more every year and per user for a suite they half use. If you need production scheduling, inventory, online deposits or artwork proofing today, a full suite such as shopVOX is the better fit.

What is Grommetbook?

Does the AI make up prices?
No. Every price is worked out by Grommetbook from your own Materials, Rates, markups and minimums, and each Quote line shows the arithmetic step by step. The AI only passes along what Grommetbook computed.
I don't use AI. Can I still use it?
You need an AI assistant that can connect to MCP servers, such as Claude (custom connectors) or ChatGPT (connectors in developer mode); availability depends on your plan with them. If you'd rather click through screens, a traditional suite like shopVOX or SignTracker fits you better.
My pricing is weird. Will it fit?
Products can be priced per square foot, per linear foot, each, or at a fixed price, with options (grommets, hems, install hours, rush %) and a minimum. If something doesn't fit, your assistant files a feature request with us instead of guessing.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Ask your assistant to export your shop: you get a JSON file of your Price Book, Customers, Quotes, Jobs and history, and a CSV of finished Jobs in QuickBooks invoice-import layout.
